The insert may only be heated in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Sterntaler recommends using an oven; detailed conditions and restrictions are described in the warnings below. Do not use the pillow for premature babies or children under one month old. Do not use the heated pouch without its cover. Check the temperature before use and, if the insert has been heated in a microwave, check it again as instructed.

Care and safety

Wash the cover at 40°C after removing the oat-filled pouch. Do not bleach, iron, dry-clean, or tumble dry.

Manufacturer's warnings

Heating the pouch in an oven: Preheat the oven to 75°C. Before heating, remove the oat-filled pouch from the outer cover and place it on a clean oven rack. Slide the rack into the middle of the oven. Leave it in the oven for no more than 15 minutes. Remove the pouch from the oven and check its temperature before putting it back in the cover. It must not be hotter than your hand. To check, hold the pouch in your hand. If the pillow is too hot, let it cool sufficiently before use. Adult supervision is recommended when using it with children.

Special instructions for safely handling the warming pillow: Never use the oat-filled pouch with a child without the outer cover.

Replace the pouch if discoloration or scorch marks appear. These may result from improper handling of the product (overheating or excessive drying).

Only place the pouch in a clean, dry cover. Store the pouch in a cool, dry place to prevent the growth of microorganisms.

Do not use the warming pillow for premature babies or children under 1 month old.

The oat-filled pouch is intended to be heated in an oven. If using a microwave (for example: 600 W, about 90 seconds), after the first temperature check by hand, wait about 5 minutes and check the temperature by hand a second time before placing it in the fabric cover, as the temperature may continue to rise.

We therefore recommend heating it in an oven, not a microwave. Do not heat using the grill function. Remove the oat-filled pouch before washing.
